Meet the Fit Fam Team: In-Home Personal Trainers for Adults 50+

Fit Fam Personal Training LLC

Fit Fam Personal Training has provided in-home personal training for adults 50+ since 2014. What started as Dave’s mission to help older adults move without pain has grown into a team of in-home personal trainers serving Delaware, Dublin, Hilliard, Lewis Center, New Albany, Powell, Upper Arlington, Westerville, and the surrounding Greater Columbus communities. For clients who prefer to come to us, we also offer sessions at our private training studio. Every program is built around three priorities: Brain, Balance, and Pain Free Movement.

Two Ways to Train

In Your Home

Most of our clients train where they’re most comfortable: at home. Your trainer brings the equipment and builds each session around your space, your goals, and the movements that matter in your daily life, from getting up from a chair to climbing the stairs with confidence.

At Our Private Studio

Prefer a change of scenery? Our private studio offers one-on-one sessions in a quiet, comfortable setting, plus access to equipment we can’t bring to your home, including the Vasper, a rare low-impact training system that pairs compression and cooling with gentle exercise.

Lower back pain dominated my life beginning in 2002. I saw a chiropractor three times a week, went through repeated physical therapy and massage, took medications that caused negative side effects, and eventually underwent spinal surgery and fusion. At one point, doctors told me my MRI looked like the spine of a 90-year-old man. Despite every intervention, the pain continued.

At the same time, I was a triathlete. More exercise was not the problem. The problem was learning which exercises were right for my body’s specific needs.

In desperation, I prayed: “God, please lead me to a place where my life is no longer ruled by low back pain. And if You do, please allow me to help people along the way.”

That prayer led me to leave my sedentary career and pursue personal training, with a focus on older adults. I wanted to better understand my own body and help others care for theirs.

Today, I hold 13 certifications, have been in business for 12 years, and lead a team of in-home personal trainers serving adults 50+ across Greater Columbus. While I value my credentials, they cannot compare to the personal experience that shaped my work. My journey gave me a lens for seeing each person more clearly and entering into their story with compassion, because I understand some of what they may be feeling.

That perspective has helped me serve cancer survivors, clients with multiple joint replacements, people with chronic pain, arthritis, osteoporosis, and active adults whose posture or mobility challenges affect daily life. I carry that lens with every person I serve. I believe it is one reason many of my clients have continued with me for more than eight years.

So what happened to my pain? Through a deeper understanding of human anatomy, I learned how to train my body based on where I was tight, weak, or out of alignment. I discovered how muscular imbalances and posture affect overall health, and how targeted movement can help restore strength, mobility, and confidence.

Today, it is my joy to empower older adults with the tools to strengthen and realign their own bodies so they can enjoy the active, mature years they desire.

Meet the Fit Fam Trainers

Diana, In-Home Personal Trainer

Certified Personal Trainer (ACE) | Senior Fitness Specialist (ACE) | TRX | BOSU | Aqua Fitness.

I’m Diana, an in-home personal trainer for adults 50+ with Fit Fam. I’m an older adult myself, so I understand my clients’ goals and challenges firsthand.

I believe movement is about so much more than exercise. It’s about independence and confidence. It means getting up and down the stairs, carrying your groceries, playing with your grandchildren, traveling, gardening, or simply getting through your day with more ease.

There’s something meaningful about in-home training: being invited into someone’s home and becoming part of their journey. I get to know my clients as people, not just bodies to train. We celebrate the small victories together, like getting up from a chair more easily, improving balance, or walking farther than last month. My clients have taught me that getting older doesn’t mean stopping. It means finding new ways to keep moving.

When I’m not training, you’ll find me on a walk, working in my yard, or watching the Buckeyes.

Molly, In-Home Personal Trainer

Certified Personal Trainer (NCCPT/ISSA) | A.A.S., Physical Therapist Assistant Technology, Kent State University | 20+ Years as a Physical Therapist Assistant

After more than 20 years as a Physical Therapist Assistant, I understand the unique challenges that come with an aging body. I became a Certified Personal Trainer to combine my physical therapy experience with my passion for fitness. Now I provide safe, effective, and encouraging in-home training for adults 50+.

I specialize in functional training that improves strength, balance, mobility, and confidence, helping my clients stay independent and keep doing the things they love. As Les Brown put it, “You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.”

I was born and raised in Northeast Ohio and married my high school sweetheart, Casey. We have three sons. Outside of work, I enjoy time with my family, gardening, weightlifting, and a game of volleyball whenever I get the chance.

I’m grateful to be part of a team that shares my passion for helping others live stronger, healthier, more active lives.

Angie, In-Home Personal Trainer

Certified Personal Trainer (NASM) | Stroke & Brain Injury Recovery Fitness Specialist (MedFit Network) | Alzheimer’s Disease Fitness Specialist (MedFit Network)

I’m Angie, an in-home personal trainer and medical fitness specialist with Fit Fam. I focus on stroke and brain injury recovery, Alzheimer’s disease, and adaptive fitness. For the past seven years, I’ve had the privilege of helping people of all abilities build strength, balance, and confidence.

Before becoming a trainer, I taught middle school for ten years and coached volleyball, cheerleading, and track. I still teach an all-abilities dance class.

I’ve been part of the Fit Fam team for more than three years, and it’s been an amazing, life-changing experience. I especially value working on a team that places faith and prayer at the heart of what we do.

Outside of fitness, I enjoy reading, gardening, time with family and friends, exercising, and snuggling with my two dogs.
